About the artist:
Most days you can find Margaret Burgess buried deep in her Mackay based studio, surrounded by the recycled plastics, found objects, wire and paint that are the tools of her trade. Or you’ll find her at the Artist Collective Caneland, which is a retail space and art studio she founded in 2020.
Margaret is a highly experience tutor with a passion for the environment. She also has a diverse range of creative projects under her belt including an 8m whale and calf sculpture made entirely from recycled plastics!
