EOI Callout | Creative writing
EOI Callout | Creative writing responses – Wall Composition on Darumbal by D Harding
Webinar – Monday 24 June, 12-1pm.
Overview
This webinar will provide information about Rockhampton Museum of Art’s call for Expressions of Interest from Central Queensland-based creative writers to respond to the Commissioning Collective exhibition of D Harding, Wall Composition on Darumbal.
In this webinar you will learn more about artist D Harding, their artwork, and this unique opportunity to generate a piece of writing inspired by this significant artwork at RMOA from an internationally acclaimed First Nations artist.
D Harding is a Ghungalu, Bidjara and Garingbal non-binary queer artist based in Meanjin-Brisbane. Writers will be engaged to create and perform a response, the written aspect of which will also be acquired by RMOA as an associated work of Wall Composition on Darumbal.
The aim of this writing project is to bring different interpretations to Wall Composition on Darumbal and to share through common and unique perspectives, experiences and relationships between writers and the work.
- Creative responses must be an original unpublished work written by the applicant.
- RMOA is seeking up to two authors in each creative writing category: poetry and essays.
- Poetry entries must be more than 500 words or 4-5 minutes on an audio file.

A portion of the webinar will be dedicated to answering participant questions.
