CQ RASN have rolled out the first of our projects across the region in March with the 3 ArtSynergy community forums happening in Clermont, Emerald and Yeppoon with great attendance and outcomes across all 3 forums! ARTSynergy is an initiative developed by Karen Jones, a Queensland regional artist living with Multiple Sclerosis and supported by CQ RASN.  The project aims to foster the development of arts practitioners with disability/disadvantage in the Central Queensland region, to increase their creative  participation in the arts, to lift their profile as artists within the region and to link those artists into inclusive arts programs.

As a result of the priorities that came out of the forums the next steps for the project are to develop a website, start an arts meetup group in Yeppoon and for Karen Jones to attend a few days professional development mentoring with Alison Richardson, CEO of Crossroads Arts in Mackay! A successful RADF grant to design the website has enabled the next stage of the project to begin with the design of the ARtSynergy website underway with a Yeppoon based designer Karen Barben!

Exciting times ahead for ArtSynergy!!
